The La Nava plant, located in the municipal areas of Almodóvar del Campo and Puertollano, comprises 155,520 photovoltaic modules and a power of 49 megawatts (MW), and will produce around 100 GWh each year, equating to the yearly consumption of 40,000 households, which exceeds the yearly consumption of the population of these two towns.
Unión Fenosa Distribución, the electricity distribution subsidiary of GAS NATURAL FENOSA will invest 1.5 million euros in the project to bury the double circuit 66 kV Tibo Mourente power line (LAT), which connects the Mourente substation to the river Lérez. The works, which started at the end of March, consist in the construction of an approximately 2,000 metre-long underground canalisation, 634 of which were built by the Regional Government of Pontevedra within the framework of a partnership agreement between the Regional Government of Pontevedra, the Regional Council of Economic Affairs, Employment and Industry Unión Fenosa Distribución.
Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables has begun construction on the Fuerteventura Renovables II wind farm. The farm, which is located in the town of La Oliva, will have two wind turbines and 4.7 megawatts (MW) of power. It will produce around 14 GWh each year—enough to power around 4,000 homes. This infrastructure will contribute to reducing the emissions of pollutant gases on Fuerteventura by 280,000 tonnes.
Guadalajara Mayor, Antonio Román, and Nedgia Castilla-La Mancha General Manager, Miguel Martín de Pinto, held a work meeting at Guadalajara City Council today which was also attended by the energy company’s provincial delegate, Germán Jara, and deputy mayor and councillor for Sustainable Urban Development, Jaime Carnicero.
Through a partnership agreement signed by the delegate for Castile-Leon for Gas Natural Servicios, José Manuel Toral, and the regional secretary of the USO Education Federation, Lorenzo Lasa, the power company offers USO affiliates and the education centres where they work access to free studies to improve efficient energy management, as well as advantageous conditions for their gas, electricity and service bills.
The Delegate for Castile-Leon of Gas Natural Servicios, José Manuel Toral, and the Chairman of the Rural Tourism Association of Leon (ALETUR), Juan Víctor Moro, signed a partnership agreement this morning to foster energy savings at the Rural Tourism centres in the province of Leon.
