UFD invested 40,000 euros in improving electricity supply quality in the town of Cabana de Bergantiños

  • The electricity distributor has activated a new transformer station, a medium-voltage overhead power line and another low-voltage line in Denellón, in the parish of Nantón.

UFD, the electricity distribution company of Naturgy, invested around 40,000 euros in updates and improvement work on medium- and low-voltage electricity installations in the town of Cabana de Bergantiños. In particular, the company recently activated a medium-voltage overhead power line of 17 metres, a low-voltage power line of 550 metres and a 100 KVA outdoor transformer station in the parish of Nantón, in Denellón, improving the quality of the service provided to customers in the area.

This project is included in UFD’s investment plan for this year to improve the quality of service provided to its customers.

The goal of these initiatives is to strengthen the electricity supply infrastructure and improve the electricity distribution network, especially in rural areas where the service quality must be improved, contributing to the economic development of these areas and improving their quality of life.

Presence in Galicia

UFD is the largest electricity distributor in Galicia. It provides service to more than 1.5 million supply points in 286 municipalities in the four provinces of Galicia through a network of nearly 58,500 kilometres of high-, medium- and low-voltage lines. The electricity distributor invested almost 390 million euros in Galicia in the four-year period 2015-2018 to reinforce the network and improve supply quality.
