UFD, Naturgy’s electricity distribution subsidiary, closes 2018 with a total of 321,038 domestic smart meters installed; i.e., 99.2% of all such devices owned by the company in Castile and Leon, with a contracted power of less than 15 kW.

This morning, the Naturgy Foundation published the results of the latest edition of the Household Energy Efficiency Index. This study shows that Spaniards could reduce their energy bills by 27.4% by improving their habits and equipment.. In this sense, Spanish households could make savings of 4,352 million euros on energy bills each year by slightly modifying their use and customs.

Today, the president of the Fuerteventura Inter-Island Council, Marcial Morales, accompanied by Naturgy Power Generation Development director Carlos Gonzálezand the company's director of Renewable Development in the Canary Islands, Sergio Auffray, opened the Fuerteventura Renovable II Wind Farm, which Naturgy built on the island.

UFD, the electricity distribution company of Naturgy, invested around 40,000 euros in updates and improvement work on medium- and low-voltage electricity installations in the town of Cabana de Bergantiños. In particular, the company recently activated a medium-voltage overhead power line of 17 metres, a low-voltage power line of 550 metres and a 100 KVA outdoor transformer station in the parish of Nantón, in Denellón, improving the quality of the service provided to customers in the area.

NEDGIA Galicia has converted the propane installations and equipment to natural gas for around 2,228 customers in the town of Verín (Ourense). This means nearly 5,000 residents now have access to natural gas, which is a more efficient and more environmentally friendly form of energy.
