Naturgy takes the global lead in the gas utilities sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index

  • It is the fourteenth year in a row that the company is listed in the index, featuring the global companies with the best sustainability practices.

Naturgy takes the lead in the gas utilities sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI index), featuring the global companies with the best sustainability practices. It is the fourteenth year in a row that the company is listed in the index; and it has also been listed in the European variable, the DJSI Europe.

Naturgy obtained a score of 78 out of 100. The company achieved the highest score in its sector in the three dimensions assessed: economical, environmental and social, as well as for some of the criteria assessed, such as: codes of conduct, information security and cybersecurity, innovation management, market opportunities, supply chain management, climate strategy, environmental reporting, philanthropy and human rights, and talent attraction and retention.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) is made up of a select group of companies from around the world, including those ranked highest for compliance with sustainability and corporate responsibility criteria.

Naturgy also achieved notable positions in other sustainability indexes such as becoming the global leader in the multisector of FTSE4Good utilities, where it has been listed since 2001, receiving the top rating (AAA) from MSCI, and significant listings in the Vigeo, Sustainalytics and Oekom sustainability indexes.
