The General Manager for Communication and Institutional Relations of Gas Natural Fenosa, Jordi Garcia Tabernero, and the Vice-Chancellor of Autonomous University of Barcelona, Margarita Arboix Arzo, signed the agreement under which the power company remains a sponsor of the Report on Communication in Catalonia for the tenth consecutive edition. Gas Natural Fenosa sponsors this report, which has been a major benchmark in terms of communication in Catalonia since its first edition in 2000.
The Report on Communication in Catalonia is a project by the Autonomous University of Barcelona Communication Institute (InCom-UAB) that has been sponsored by the company and supported by the Regional Government of Catalonia since its first edition in 2000. It offers a regular and up-to-date description and an interpretative and plural analysis of trends in the various fields that make up the communication sector in Catalonia. For this tenth edition, the Report will offer a detailed analysis of 2017 and 2018 while also providing a unique and singular outlook on trends in the various areas making up the communication sector in Catalonia over the last 20 years, highlighting similarities and differences when compared with other peer countries. Public release is scheduled for the autumn of 2019.
Communication Institute (InCom-UAB)
Set up in 1997, the Autonomous University of Barcelona Communication Institute (InCom-UAB) is a specialised research centre. Its main objectives are basic and applied research, specialised training, communication, providing advanced communication services and knowledge transfer.
The 2017–2018 Report on Communication in Catalonia is the tenth such report. It forms part of the Communication Watchdog in Catalonia (OCC InCom-UAB) and receives contributions from some 20 authors working at various public and private universities and institutions.
