The Mayor of Valladolid, Óscar Puente, and the Large-scale Consumption Manager of NEDGIA, Roberto Cámara, officially opened the conference entitled “Switch to Natural Gas in Boiler Rooms at Municipal Facilities” organised by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Spanish Gas Association (SEDIGAS) at the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid, which was sponsored by NEDGIA Castilla y León.
Naturgy has commenced construction work on the Pastoriza-Rodeiro wind farm, which will be located in the town of A Pastoriza in Lugo province. The project will have a total of 14 wind turbines with a total power of 48.5 MW, which will mean an investment of around 43 million euros.
Naturgy has received one of the most prestigious awards in the global energy sector, the S&P Global Platts Global Energy Award, in the “Emerging Technology” category for the DirectLink LNG infrastructure, acknowledged as a “revolutionary solution” on the international liquefied natural gas market: (LNG).
Naturgy joins the Euronext Vigeo World 120 index, which recognises the 120 most sustainable companies in the world, and remains in its Euronext Vigeo Europe 120and Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120 categories, which include the most advanced companies in sustainability terms in Europe and the Eurozone, for the fifth consecutive year.
This morning, the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, accompanied by the President of the Town Council of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, the mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, and the Power Generation Manager at Naturgy, Ana Peris opened the Agüimes wind power complex that Naturgy has constructed in Gran Canaria.
Accompanied by the Director for Generation Development of the multinational power company, Carlos González, and the Development Manager of the renewables subsidiary of Naturgy in Extremadura, Ana Ruiz, the Regional Minister for Economic Affairs and Infrastructures in Extremadura, Olga García, and the Mayor of Plasencia, Fernando Pizarro, visited the construction site of the Merengue Wind Farm, which is being built by Naturgy and is the first in the region, earlier today.
