Celestina López, new General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla y León

  • Juan Antonio Pazos, who was the general manager until now, will go on to run the NEDGIA’s Residential Commercial Department in the northern zone.
  •  Celestina López, who has been appointed as General Manager of Gas Distribution Operations at NEDGIA in the northern zone, will combine her management of NEDGIA Castilla y León with that of the distribution companies in Galicia, La Rioja and Navarre.

NEDGIA, the natural gas distribution company of the Naturgy group, has appointed Celestina López as the new General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla y León, its subsidiary in Castile-Leon. Celestina López replaces Juan Antonio Pazos in the position, who will now go on to run the Residential Commercial Department of NEDGIA in the northern zone.

The new General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla y León is from Logroño (La Rioja, Spain) and has a degree in agricultural engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. With almost 20 years of experience at the Naturgy group, Celestina López has held various positions of responsibility within the field of natural gas distribution, including management of NEDGIA Aragón, NEDGIA Rioja, NEDGIA Navarra and Cegas in the Region of Valencia.

NEDGIA has demonstrated its commitment to Castile-Leon by appointing someone to manage operations by the distribution company who has broad knowledge of the energy sector and extensive experience at the company.

The new General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla y León takes up the challenge to continue expanding the natural gas distribution network in the region and encouraging the new uses for this energy, which include the implementation of sustainable mobility with natural gas and the promotion of renewable gas.

Celestina López, who has been appointed as General Manager of Gas Distribution Operations at NEDGIA in the northern zone, will combine her position as General Manager of NEDGIA Castilla y León with her management of the NEDGIA distribution companies in Galicia, La Rioja and Navarre.

Furthermore, the company is undertaking efforts to digitalise all its processes in order to make the most of new technologies for making its business more efficient and effective, and connecting with the more technological and demanding reality.

Operations in Castile-Leon

NEDGIA Castilla y León has close on 445,000 supply points serving 524,000 homes and industries in 122 towns and cities. With a transportation and distribution network of over 4,200 kilometres, 67% of the population in Castile-Leon have access to this power supply.

Furthermore, the company supplies natural gas to almost 2,000 homes via centralised boiler installations.
