Today, the Deputy Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Paul Simons, took part in the ‘Transiciones energéticas. Un reto mundial’ seminar, which was organised by the Naturgy Foundation in Madrid, and the Secretary of State for Energy, José Domínguez Abascal, participated in the opening ceremony.

Naturgy launched a new campaign today aimed at all its stakeholders to explain its new visual code intended to make communication with its customers quicker and easier. The power company is thus simplifying communication with consumers and conveying the main values upheld by the brand: simplicity, innovation, experience and respect for society and the environment.

The President of Naturgy, Francisco Reynés, presided over the company’s Ordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting, which was held today in Madrid, where the shareholders approved the results, along with the corporate management report for the 2018 year.

NEDGIA, the natural gas distributor of the Naturgy group, has launched a pilot scheme in Paterna (Valencia) to examine the feasibility of producing renewable gas from rice straw based on anaerobic digestion technology.

The Naturgy Foundation held the first of a new series of Talks on conferences with the cyborg anthropologist, Amber Case, at the Casa de América in Madrid. She spoke about ‘Calm Technology and the Future of the Energy Sector’.

More than 35 volunteers from the Naturgy Foundation will train second- and third-year pupils in secondary education as part of the new “Managing my Energy” education programme that has been launched in partnership with the Junior Achievement Foundation.
