Nedgia Castilla-La Mancha renews its collaboration with the Castilla-La Mancha Film Festival

  • The gas distribution subsidiary from the Gas Natural Fenosa group in the region will be the main sponsor of this event for the fifth year running.

NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha, the gas distribution subsidiary from the Gas Natural Fenosa group in the region is set to sponsor the Castilla-La Mancha Film Festival (FECICAM) for the fifth year running, following the renewal of its commitment to the event as one of the main sponsors of the ninth edition.

Managing Director of Nedgia Castilla-La Mancha, Miguel Martín de Pinto, signed the partnership agreement with the festival directors Alvar Vielsa and Marina González, to support this festival, which will be held in Ciudad Real from 20 to 24 March. The Director of Nedgia Castilla-La Mancha in Ciudad Real, Mercedes Orozco, also attended the signing.

The Festival programme includes the screening of the short film “La llave”, the first part of the film “Proyecto tiempo”, directed by Isabel Coixet and produced by Gas Natural Fenosa in the framework of the third edition of Cinergía – an initiative designed to support the cinema industry in Spain through the production of films which raise awareness on issues such as energy efficiency and savings.

Miguel Martín de Pinto highlighted that “the support shown by the energy company to this type of festival which comes into being and, with time, achieves a prominent place in the region’s culture, stems from our commitment to the creativity, originality and talent in our cinema and our country”.

Alvar Vielsa thanked the energy company’s willingness to collaborate with the festival which is reaching its ninth edition, and receives support from companies, institutions and, above all, the large audience which attends the various activities year after year.

Gas Natural Fenosa has been strongly committed to the world of cinema since 2008, and supports Spain’s leading festivals and cinemas. Among others, the company sponsors the San Sebastian Film Festival, the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Madrid Premiere Week, and the Malaga Film Festival. Spanish Cinema, the FEROZ® Critique Awards and the Cartagena International Film Festival, as well as over 40 screens at Cinesa cinemas throughout Spain that all bear the name of Gas Natural Fenosa.
