Germán Jara, NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha Delegate in Toledo and Guadalajara, and Antonio Pantoja, Chairman of the Toledo Association of Fluid and Power Installation Companies (ASETIFE), have signed a partnership agreement to work together on the development of natural gas infrastructures in the region and on activities to improve the information and training offered to stakeholders in the sector.
Under this agreement, the two organisations are committed to actions aimed at expanding the distribution of this fuel and thus promoting sustainable energy development in the region. To that end, the distribution company will explain to members of the association the technological and IT evolution currently being experienced in its efforts to expand new supply points – achieved through the implementation of telematic resources – and will offer training to ASETIFE personnel.
Furthermore, training events will be organised at which association members can learn about technical and commercial issues related to natural gas, the current situation and development of this expansion process, and the scope of the ongoing expansion of this fuel.
In turn, the association will foster awareness about the advantages of natural gas and its expansion in all sectors, including new local installation companies.
Presence of natural gas in Toledo
NEDGIA Castilla-La Mancha, a subsidiary of NEDGIA (formerly Gas Natural Distribución), has a distribution network stretching over almost 1,700 kilometres and close on 74,000 supply points in 38 towns in Toledo. Regionally, it manages over 267,000 supply points in 78 municipalities and a distribution network of over 4,100 kilometres.
At present, NEDGIA CLM supplies to homes and business in Ajofrín, Alameda de la Sagra, Añover de Tajo, Bargas, Borox, Calera y Chozas, Cobeja, Cobisa, Consuegra, Esquivias, Fuensalida, Illescas, Madridejos, Magán, Mocejón, Mora, Nambroca, Noblejas, Numancia de la Sagra, Ocaña, Olías del Rey, Ontígola, Pantoja, Polán, Puebla de Almoradiel (La), Quintanar de la Orden, Seseña, Sonseca, Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Torrijos, Valmojado, Villacañas, Villaluenga de la Sagra, Yébenes (Los), Yeles, Yuncler and Yuncos.
