Naturgy has begun construction work on two wind farms located around five municipalities of Navarre: Añorbe, Artajona, Barásoain, Olóriz and Tirapu. These projects will have a total of 15 wind turbines that will have a combined total power of 49.5 MW and a total production of 155,000 MWh/year, requiring a total investment of close on 45 million euros.
Naturgy posted a recurring EBITDA of 3.25 billion euros –10% higher than in the first nine months of last year– and a net profit in recurrent terms of 877 million euros, up 38%.
Naturgy, through its international electricity generation subsidiary GPG, and also Kuwait Investment Authority (through Wren House Infrastructure Management, its platform for direct investments in infrastructure) has inaugurated the Crookwell II wind farm 90 km from the Australian capital Canberra within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) in New South Wales.
The issue, for a total amount of 265 million Brazilian Reais, will be used to repay expenses, costs and debts incurred for the construction of the Sertão I Solar and Sobral I Solar plants, which have a joint power generation capacity of 68 MW. These are two of the first issues with these features carried out in Brazil for the financing photovoltaic plants, although it is a common way of financing wind-power and transmission projects.
The Chairman & CEO of Naturgy, Francisco Reynés, took part earlier today in the XVII Executives Conference organised by the CEDE Foundation (Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives) in Palma de Mallorca.
The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) has recognised the DirectLinkLNG project developed by Naturgy as the “2018 Innovative energy project of the year”, an award that recognises the most innovative project in the global energy sector and which was awarded to a company from outside the USA for the first time.
